Build with Councl

Trademark search, built into your product

Need USPTO, EUIPO or global trademark data inside your website or app? We integrate it: search, name clearance, monitoring and filing analytics. We know it works because we built our own on this very site. Try those, then let us build yours.

What we integrate

Trademark search

Live USPTO and EUIPO lookups by mark, owner or class, registered and pending, with status and filing history.

Name clearance

Phonetic and fuzzy conflict checks across 70+ offices via TMview, the engine behind a real go or no-go verdict.

Brand monitoring

Watch for new filings that collide with a client's marks and alert them before an opposition window closes.

Filing data at scale

Aggregate filings by firm, owner or class for directories, dashboards and lead scoring, like the data on Councl itself.

We build this ourselves

The fastest way to judge a developer is to use what they have shipped. Every one of these runs on Councl, on the stack we would build yours with.

Who it is for

  • Founders adding a name check or clearance step to onboarding
  • Brand and naming platforms that need live trademark signals
  • Legaltech and IP tools that want USPTO or EUIPO data without the plumbing
  • Agencies whose client asked for trademark search and have no API in-house

Have trademark data in mind?

Let us build it into your product.

A short call to scope it, then a fixed plan. No obligation, and you will leave knowing exactly which trademark source fits and what it takes to ship.

Frequently asked

Which trademark APIs do you work with?

USPTO and EUIPO official data, TMview for 70+ offices worldwide, and commercial providers like Signa for firm-level filing aggregation. We pick the source that fits your coverage, freshness and budget, and we are happy to advise before you commit to one.

Can you build a trademark search like the one on this site?

Yes. The free trademark check and the business name generator on Councl are ours, built on the same stack we would use for you: Next.js, a clean API layer, caching and rate limiting. You can try them before you brief us.

How long does an integration take?

A focused search or clearance feature is usually one to three weeks. Larger builds, monitoring, dashboards, multi-office data pipelines, run longer and we scope them up front with a fixed plan.

Do you maintain it after launch?

If you want us to. Trademark sources change their formats and limits, so most clients keep us on a light retainer to keep the integration healthy. You can also take the code and run it yourself.
